Customer Review: A MUST READ
Self-help books rarely accomplish what Le Blanc is able to do in ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES MADE EASY! For starters, he does give his readers easy ways to set goals, manage time, and be more successful in their professional and private lives. In short, by accomplishing his own goal to offer practical tools and techniques, he helps us to make our lives more than simply manageable but more meaningful.

Le Blanc has clearly accomplished this in his own life, and nothing is more inspiring than knowing an author practices what he preaches. Presenting us with simple ways to help balance our days, select priorities, and have plans of action, he offers a platter upon which we can place our clutter, eliminate energy drainage and avoid the pitfalls of procrastination. Ultimately, he empowers us with motivation, the motivation we all need to be successful.

In the fast-paced rat race of 21st century life, Le Blanc offers building blocks to living with less stress, thereby increasing the potential for us to be more spiritual, while improving our finances, as well as our professional and personal relationships. He provides not only techniques but wisdom. Most importantly, perhaps, he gives us hope that dreams can be realized! Bravo! A real contribution!

Customer Review: time managment, a very fast read with excellent solutions
I purchased this book over three months ago, which of course, I just got to read on a Saturday afternoon (procrastination?). I was looking for a fast, light read as well as a book that would help me improve my time management skills.

I found that this book was excellent in providing multiple solutions and methods for addressing, improving and mitigating various situations dealing with time-sinks. There were multiple sections that I “dog-eared” to go back to dealing with to-do lists, characterizing activities, speed writing, controlling paper flow, optimizing waiting time and also solutions dealing with procrastination and “worrying”. I have found the methods provided have very been effective.

If your looking for a book that will be a fast read with tangible guidance dealing with time management, this is an excellent choice (and cheap too!).

Creative folks often know all too well that the muse doesn’t always strike when you want it to, or when the deadline for your next brilliant project is creeping up on you like an ill-fitting turtleneck. Originality doesn’t follow a time clock, even when you have to. While conventional time management books offer tons of instruction for using time wisely, they are traditionally organized in a linear fashion, which just isn’t helpful for the right-brain mind. In Time Management for the Creative Person, creativity guru Lee Silber offers real advice for using the strengths of artistic folks—like originality and resourcefulness—to adopt innovative time-saving solutions, such as:

* Learning to say no when your plate is just too full
* How to know when a good job, not a great one, is good enough
* Making “to do” lists that include fun stuff, too—that way you won’t feel overwhelmed by work
* Time-saving techniques around the house that give you more time to get your work done and more time to spend with your loved ones
* The keys to clutter control that will keep your work space and your living space neat

With these and lots of other practical tips, Lee Silber will help anyone, from the time-starved caterer rushing to prepare for her next party to the preoccupied painter who forgets when the electric bill is due, make the most of their time and turn the clock and the calendar into friends, not foes.

Customer Review: Time Management for the Creative Person; Right-Brain Strategies for Stopping Procrastination, Getting Control of the Clock
I liked this book very much because it was written for people like me. I was given many explanations for my behavior without making me feel badly. Also there were many practical suggestions that one could start doing as soon as the book was read. I especially found the part on procrastination helpful.

Customer Review: Fantastic for people who cringe at the words “time management”
If typical time-management advice leaves you cold, this book offers a refreshingly different perspective, and tons of practical ideas that are based on creative and abstract thinking, not linear, robotic instructions. This is for those of us who are usually 5 minutes late, who search the house for a slip of paper with vital information, and who find day-planners to be tedious and inconvenient. And this book never makes you feel guilty or inadequate for not following traditional advice on “productivity.”

This book proposes that organization and time management strategies should be personalized and comfortable. They should be empowering, not restrictive, and make your life more relaxed, not more stressful. Until reading this book, I had not considered that this was possible. I have adopted many of the author’s ideas and specific suggestions, and I have continued using them for over a year since I first read it. I’ve increased my freelance earnings, created a workspace I love to work in, and reduced the stress in my life. If you cringe at most time-management books, please read this one.

On the contrary you would be richer by the information that you would get.
If you think that just by reading this article you could be an expert about Time Management, well you are a bit off the mark. This article is to make you aware of the basic facts and figures about Time Management and the rest you would have to find for yourself.

Most of the articles go on rambling about the same content and that is why it seems that there is no need to read any more articles when you have read two or three articles on any topic but can you really say the same about this article about Time Management.

Successfully Implementing Time Management
don’t you think that the thing in which you were so interested-Time Management would never have been truly yours if you have not read this article. don’t you think your knowledge about Time Management would have remained incomplete without reading this article?

When asked what they would change about themselves, many people say that they procrastinate too often and therefore never seem to do as good of a job on a project as they would have liked. Procrastination is a very common problem. It is characterized by putting off large projects or tasks until the last possible second therefore not completing the task or just rushing through it to get it done. This can affect everything from ones performance at work, to a students grades in school. However, there are ways to end procrastination, and therefore improve ones time management skills. There are really just two simple steps that a person can take to better time management.

Creating a Timeline
When starting a big project or task it is important to look at your schedule and figure out exactly how much time you have. If it is a school project this is easy; there is going to be a due date and your teacher will more than likely not accept it late. However, if this is a household project, there is a tendency to be more lenient. So look at how much time you have to complete the project and set your self mini goals along the way.

If you are writing a paper for example, set a deadline for the completion of your outline, one for the rough draft and one for the final paper. Make sure to stick to those dates for effective time management. That way you have a very good idea of where you are in your project instead of rushing around at the last minute trying to turn an outline into a final draft. Also, set your final deadline a few days before your actual deadline. That way you have a chance to edit your paper and make any changes.

A little Time Management at a Time
Trying to complete a huge task all in one night can be a very stressful way to conduct time management. Instead of trying to complete a 15 page paper in two hours, try to do a little bit every night. If you create a timeline with mini deadlines, try to work for an hour every night. That way you will know exactly where you stand with your project. This also reduces stress, and allows you to get more sleep. Staying up all night is definitely not good for you and it will show in your work.

We won’t claim that this article was the best that you would ever get to read but yes we made an effort to provide you with some good information and hope you also felt the same.

Situations appear to be spinning madly out of your control? Don’t you care, your time management plan will help you to have everything under your control. That’s why your planning to anticipate obstacles is an important part of your time management plan

Let’s have a more detailed look at them.
Over-scheduling, as discussed before, is a huge obstacle. When creating a realistic schedule don’t try and cram too much into your day. Set time estimates and make sure you are working on your high priorities at the time of day when you have the most energy.

Are you a perfectionist? If you don’t think that anyone can do the job as well as you, you’ll end up doing everything, or re-doing tasks until they are perfect. Being perfect is a psychological barrier to successful time management. It will give you an excuse for poor performance ‘I wasn’t happy with the outcome anyway’ or ‘I didn’t have enough time to get it exactly right’. Remember, not everything has to be perfect.

Procrastination appears to be everywhere and can be a huge obstacle. Do you put things off because they aren’t high on your priority list or do you procrastinate because you aren’t quite sure how to do a task? Are things of very high importance hard to get motivated for? Avoid procrastination by making sure the stages to reach your goals are in small measurable steps. If fear of failure is making you procrastinate work out how you can overcome this fear. Is there anyone who can help you with this task? Do you need to learn more before you tackle the project?

How urgent is the job you are working on? Is it the one you want to be working on right now? Some people are slaves to the call of urgent. Can you ignore the telephone ringing? Do you have trouble identifying priorities? It may seem to you that every task on your to-do list is urgent. If you can learn to differentiate between urgent and non-urgent tasks and perhaps delegate some of the non-urgent ones you will no longer be a slave.

Other obstacles that need to be planned for include being over-accessible. Everyone wants a piece of you and you want to help everyone. Is that possible? Learn the art of saying no. It doesn’t make you a bad person. Everyone has their limits as to how much they can do.

Do you get distracted easily? This can also be an obstacle to effective time management. Working on your concentration or making your workplace free from unwanted distractions can help.

Fear of failure and depression are also obstacles for some people. Negative thoughts can lead to both these obstacles. Depression can be a passing thing or a more serious illness. Medical intervention may be necessary.

What to say more? Obstacles will test you and your time management plan. If you are well prepared when meeting an obstacle you’ll get the tools to deal with it. Meet them head on and deal with them. Then move on to those things high on your priority list and remain in control.
